Parco Esposizioni Novegro | 31 January – 1 February 2026
The Winter Edition of Festival del Fumetto returned to Parco Esposizioni Novegro on January 31st and February 1st, 2026, confirming once again its role as one of the most anticipated Italian events dedicated to comics, cosplay, gaming, and pop culture.
Thanks to the Press Pass, I had the opportunity to experience the festival from a privileged point of view—moving freely between pavilions, backstage areas, and scheduled photo sessions—capturing not only images, but the atmosphere, emotions, and passion that make this event truly special.
A Celebration of Creativity and Identity
Festival del Fumetto is much more than a convention. It is a space where creativity becomes identity and imagination takes physical form. From early morning, the pavilions were filled with color, music, and an infectious energy driven by thousands of fans.
Cosplay was, as always, the beating heart of the event. Every costume told a story: hours of craftsmanship, research, and dedication brought to life through fabric, armor, makeup, and performance. Walking through the halls felt like stepping into a living multiverse—comics, anime, video games, cinema, and original characters coexisting in perfect harmony.
Cosplayers: The True Protagonists
One of the most striking aspects of this Winter Edition was the openness and professionalism of the cosplayers. Many willingly participated in planned photo shoots, allowing for more structured and thoughtful portraits, while others offered spontaneous moments that perfectly captured the soul of their characters.
What stands out every time is not just the visual impact, but the human connection: smiles behind masks, proud explanations of costume details, and the mutual respect between photographers and performers. These interactions are what transform a photograph into a story.
Beyond Cosplay: Comics, Games, and Community
Alongside cosplay, the festival offered a rich variety of stands dedicated to comics, illustration, collectibles, tabletop games, and video games. Artists and independent creators had the chance to present their work directly to the public, creating a valuable bridge between creativity and community.
Gaming areas and themed activities added another layer of engagement, making the event accessible and enjoyable for visitors of all ages—from longtime fans to newcomers discovering this world for the first time.
A Photographer’s Perspective
Covering Festival del Fumetto as press means balancing documentation with interpretation. The goal is not only to show what happened, but how it felt to be there.
The gallery attached to this article represents my personal selection of the best shots from the weekend: a mix of planned portraits and candid moments, chosen to reflect the diversity, emotion, and craftsmanship that define this event. Each image is a tribute to the people who give life to Festival del Fumetto.
Final Thoughts
The Winter Edition 2026 of Festival del Fumetto once again proved how strong and vibrant the Italian pop culture community is. It is an event built on passion, respect, and shared imagination—values that are felt in every corner of Parco Esposizioni Novegro.
A sincere thank you goes to all the cosplayers who trusted my lens, to the organizers for their professionalism, and to the community that continues to make this festival a place where fantasy and reality meet.
See you at the next edition.
